| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Judy Salinas Cabaza for her many accomplishments in |

| 4 | 4 | | the field of dentistry; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An honors graduate of James Pace High School in |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Brownsville, Dr. Cabaza attended The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Austin, where she received a bachelor's degree in biology; she |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | went on to earn her doctor of dental surgery degree at The |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, While at dental school, Dr. Cabaza received |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | numerous awards and citations, including an Outstanding Academic |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Achievement Award, an Excellence in Clinical Dentistry Award, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and the school's General Dentistry Award; she also earned a slot |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | on the dean's list for her academic excellence; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Cabaza currently practices dentistry in San |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Antonio, where her dedication and expertise have established her |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | as a patient favorite; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A member of several professional organizations, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Dr. Cabaza has also volunteered her services at health fairs and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with mobile dental screening programs; she is justly deserving of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | acknowledgement for her commitment to outstanding patient care |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and her many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Judy Salinas Cabaza on her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | devotion to quality dental care and her many achievements in the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | field of dentistry; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
