SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 133
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Judy Salinas Cabaza for her many accomplishments in
the field of dentistry; and
WHEREAS, An honors graduate of James Pace High School in
Brownsville, Dr. Cabaza attended The University of Texas at
Austin, where she received a bachelor's degree in biology; she
went on to earn her doctor of dental surgery degree at The
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; and
WHEREAS, While at dental school, Dr. Cabaza received
numerous awards and citations, including an Outstanding Academic
Achievement Award, an Excellence in Clinical Dentistry Award,
and the school's General Dentistry Award; she also earned a slot
on the dean's list for her academic excellence; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Cabaza currently practices dentistry in San
Antonio, where her dedication and expertise have established her
as a patient favorite; and
WHEREAS, A member of several professional organizations,
Dr. Cabaza has also volunteered her services at health fairs and
with mobile dental screening programs; she is justly deserving of
acknowledgement for her commitment to outstanding patient care
and her many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Judy Salinas Cabaza on her
devotion to quality dental care and her many achievements in the
field of dentistry; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
