| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Felicita Acevedo, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | who died January 29, 2009, at the age of 84; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, Felicita Acevedo was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | respected in the community for her many accomplishments; she |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | cherished her role as a homemaker and mother, and her talents as a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | painter, gardener, and crochet artist brightened the lives of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | those who knew her; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and vitality |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | will live on in the memories of those she left behind; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Acevedo was a devoted wife, mother, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | grandmother, and she will long be remembered with affection and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | admiration by all those who were privileged to share in her life; |

| 19 | 19 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |

| 22 | 22 | | family of Felicita Acevedo: her sons and daughters-in-law, |

| 23 | 23 | | Ricardo Acevedo and his wife, Janet, Reinaldo Acevedo and his |

| 24 | 24 | | wife, Rose Marie, Alberto Acevedo, Jr., and his wife, Rosalinda, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Pedro Acevedo, Sr., and his wife, Cynthia, and Joseph Acevedo, |

| 26 | 26 | | Sr., and his wife, Rose; her daughters and son-in-law, Rosalinda |

| 27 | 27 | | Cushman and her husband, Steve, and Blanca Estela Veda; her |
