2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas recognizes JoAnn
3	3	Brown for her 50 years of membership in and service to Alpha Kappa
4	4	Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; and
5	5	WHEREAS, JoAnn has performed many years of dedicated
6	6	service to the State of Texas in various cities over the years
7	7	including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Galveston, and Bryan; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Giving, talented, and resourceful, she has
9	9	unselfishly donated time, energy, and financial support to many
10	10	organizations for the encouragement, assistance, and guidance of
11	11	others; and
12	12	WHEREAS, She is a retired executive, wife, mother, and
13	13	grandmother with an undying commitment to whatever she
14	14	undertakes; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Throughout her 50 years of involvement in Alpha
16	16	Kappa Alpha, which began on the campus of Wiley College, JoAnn
17	17	has never failed in her love for the community and her sorority;
18	18	now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
20	20	Legislature, hereby commend JoAnn Brown on her exceptional
21	21	service to the Dallas community and to Alpha Kappa Alpha
22	22	Sorority, Incorporated; and, be it further
23	23	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
24	24	her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
