                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 267
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize the members of Leadership Southlake for their many
 contributions to the current and future success of the Southlake
 community; and
 WHEREAS, Committed to introducing new and acknowledged
 leaders to the Southlake community, Leadership Southlake is an
 eight-month program of classes and community involvement
 designed to teach emerging leaders the fine points of such issues
 as local government, health care, and the impact of technology;
 and
 WHEREAS, Leadership Southlake is sponsored by the
 Southlake Chamber of Commerce and the City of Southlake; it
 offers participants the opportunity to meet other community
 leaders and to involve their businesses in issues that affect
 quality of life in the community; and
 WHEREAS, By offering the opportunity to gain greater
 knowledge of the region, increased leadership skills, and a
 network of other community leaders, Leadership Southlake plays
 an important role in ensuring the continuing prosperity of the
 Southlake area; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
 Legislature, hereby commend the members of Leadership Southlake
 on their commitment to improving their community and extend to
 them best wishes for success in all their future endeavors; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
