| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Paul I. Rubin on the occasion of Texas Dental |

| 4 | 4 | | Association Day, February 25, 2009; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Rubin is a board-certified pediatric dentist |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry; |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | he earned his dental degree from The University of Texas Health |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Science Center in San Antonio and completed his pediatric |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | dentistry residency and internship at Baylor College of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Dentistry; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, He has considerable experience in hospital |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | dentistry and has worked extensively with special needs children |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | through his efforts at Children's Medical Center and Texas |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A compassionate caregiver, Dr. Rubin works |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | closely with his patients' parents and often with pediatricians |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and other physicians in order to best provide the total health |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | care necessary for the well-being of a child; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Active in his profession and in his community, Dr. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Rubin was a cofounder of the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Society, participates in the North Dallas Dental Society's "Give |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Kids A Smile," and serves on the Executive Board of the Texas |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Rubin was selected as a Super Dentist for the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | last four years by Texas Monthly and as one of the Best Dentists |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | in Dallas for the last two years by D Magazine; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Paul I. Rubin on his outstanding |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | work as a pediatric dentist and on his many contributions to his |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | community and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it |
