SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 292
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Paul I. Rubin on the occasion of Texas Dental
Association Day, February 25, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Rubin is a board-certified pediatric dentist
and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry;
he earned his dental degree from The University of Texas Health
Science Center in San Antonio and completed his pediatric
dentistry residency and internship at Baylor College of
Dentistry; and
WHEREAS, He has considerable experience in hospital
dentistry and has worked extensively with special needs children
through his efforts at Children's Medical Center and Texas
Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; and
WHEREAS, A compassionate caregiver, Dr. Rubin works
closely with his patients' parents and often with pediatricians
and other physicians in order to best provide the total health
care necessary for the well-being of a child; and
WHEREAS, Active in his profession and in his community, Dr.
Rubin was a cofounder of the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental
Society, participates in the North Dallas Dental Society's "Give
Kids A Smile," and serves on the Executive Board of the Texas
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Rubin was selected as a Super Dentist for the
last four years by Texas Monthly and as one of the Best Dentists
in Dallas for the last two years by D Magazine; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Paul I. Rubin on his outstanding
work as a pediatric dentist and on his many contributions to his
community and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high esteem from the Texas Senate.
