SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 337
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Rice M. Tilley, Jr., who has been named to Worth
magazine's 2008 Top 100 Attorneys in the United States in the
field of estate planning and taxation; and
WHEREAS, The editors of Worth magazine selected Mr. Tilley
for the publication's list of Top 100 Attorneys because his long
history working with affluent clients, his professional
affiliations, and his publishing history confirm that he could
provide extraordinary expertise to readers of Worth; and
WHEREAS, Rice M. Tilley, Jr., is an attorney in the Fort
Worth office of Haynes and Boone, an international corporate law
firm with offices in Texas, New York, Washington, D.C., Mexico
City, and Moscow; he has more than 40 years of experience in
taxation, estate planning, tax-exempt organizations, and asset
protection planning; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Tilley is acknowledged as one of the country's
best lawyers in Best Lawyers in America; he has repeatedly been
recognized by Texas Monthly magazine as one of the state's "Super
Lawyers"; and he was selected by the Fort Worth Business Press as
one of Fort Worth's "Attorneys of Excellence"; and
WHEREAS, He has served as chairman of the Real Estate,
Probate, and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and
edited the section's newsletter; he has also served as a member
of the Tax Lawyers-Internal Revenue Service Liaison Committee
for the Southwest Region; with his expertise and his experience,
Mr. Tilley has brought great credit to his firm and his
profession; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby congratulate Rice M. Tilley, Jr., on being
named to Worth magazine's list of the Top 100 Attorneys in the
United States and extend to him best wishes for continued success
in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
