                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 478
 In Memory
 of
 John Andrew Collins
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of The Woodlands in mourning the loss of John Andrew
 Collins, who died March 8, 2009, at the age of 25; and
 WHEREAS, John Andrew Collins was born in Houston on
 September 27, 1983; he attended Glen Loch Elementary School and
 Collins Intermediate School and graduated from The Woodlands
 High School in 2002; he was enrolled at Lone Star College; and
 WHEREAS, He was a faithful and lifelong member of The
 Woodlands United Methodist Church, and he earned the rank of
 Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 772; and
 WHEREAS, Andrew was a bright and thoughtful young man, and
 he enriched the lives of all who knew him with his love, his
 kindness, and his compassion for others; and
 WHEREAS, A dearly loved son, grandson, and brother, Andrew
 brought great joy and happiness to his family, and he leaves
 behind memories that will be treasured forever in their hearts;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of John Andrew Collins: his parents, Cam and Kathy
 Collins; his brother, Austin Collins; and his grandparents, Paul
 and Matalee Smith, Carol Collins, and Violet Collins; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of John Andrew Collins.
