| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Greater Keller Women's Club on the occasion of its |

| 4 | 4 | | 20th anniversary; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1989 when a group of 30 |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | community-minded women responded to an appeal for civic |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | engagement, the Greater Keller Women's Club has become a driving |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | force for progress and philanthropy in the Keller area; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to promoting the common good and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | general welfare of the people of the community, the club has |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | become well known for its many contributions of funds and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | volunteer hours to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | among the recipients of its largesse are the Community |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Storehouse, Summer Santa, the Keller Library, and Metroport |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Meals on Wheels; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The club has also provided scholarships to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | deserving students in the Keller Independent School District, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | organized parties for the Mimosa Manor Care Center, and supplied |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Christmas baskets for needy families; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The Greater Keller Women's Club has won numerous |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | awards for its exemplary work, including the Pat Nimmo Riddle |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Club of the Year Award; it has become an integral part of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Keller community and is truly deserving of recognition for its |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Greater Keller |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Women's Club on their many contributions to the Keller community |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and extend to them best wishes for a memorable 20th anniversary; |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
