| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Madolyn Frasier of Marble Falls has long |

| 3 | 3 | | dedicated herself to her community, enhancing the lives of others |

| 4 | 4 | | through her thoughtfulness and working diligently to preserve |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | the history of this special place and its people; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, In 1998, Ms. Frasier joined with William Becker to |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | develop plans for a Marble Falls history museum; they invited |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | fellow citizens to meet and discuss such a project, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | enthusiastic volunteers and donors came together with help from |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | city officials to found the Falls on the Colorado Museum; Ms. |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Frasier serves on the board of directors and as the official |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | historian of this worthy institution, which boasts an extensive |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | collection of photographs, newspapers, and other archival |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | materials relating to the fascinating heritage of the town and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the Texas Hill Country; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Frasier also serves as the historian of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Marble Falls High School Class of 1959; appointed "keeper of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | class," she has chronicled the developments in the lives of her |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | former classmates through the years, ensuring that all are |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | apprised of births, marriages, and deaths; in addition, she |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | organizes annual reunions and regular social events that have |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | helped to sustain the close relationships many have cherished |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | since the first grade; the class spirit she has fostered is the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | envy of others, who have been known to feign affiliation with the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Class of 1959 to participate in its activities; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, A kind and caring woman, this Marble Falls native |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | is beloved for her many acts of generosity, whether providing |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | someone in need with a ride to the doctor, a genial visit, or the |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | gift of delicious treats to brighten their day; her consideration |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | has brought happiness and comfort to countless friends and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | neighbors; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Madolyn Frasier's latest achievement is |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | organizing the 50th reunion of the storied Class of 1959, taking |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | place on April 18, 2009, and this momentous occasion provides a |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | fitting opportunity to recognize her outstanding service to her |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | schoolmates and her myriad efforts in behalf of her fellow |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | residents of Marble Falls; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | Legislature, hereby commend Madolyn Frasier for her outstanding |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | service to the Marble Falls High School Class of 1959 and to her |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | community and that she be extended sincere best wishes for |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|---|
