SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 559 WHEREAS, Madolyn Frasier of Marble Falls has long dedicated herself to her community, enhancing the lives of others through her thoughtfulness and working diligently to preserve the history of this special place and its people; and WHEREAS, In 1998, Ms. Frasier joined with William Becker to develop plans for a Marble Falls history museum; they invited fellow citizens to meet and discuss such a project, and enthusiastic volunteers and donors came together with help from city officials to found the Falls on the Colorado Museum; Ms. Frasier serves on the board of directors and as the official historian of this worthy institution, which boasts an extensive collection of photographs, newspapers, and other archival materials relating to the fascinating heritage of the town and the Texas Hill Country; and WHEREAS, Ms. Frasier also serves as the historian of the Marble Falls High School Class of 1959; appointed "keeper of the class," she has chronicled the developments in the lives of her former classmates through the years, ensuring that all are apprised of births, marriages, and deaths; in addition, she organizes annual reunions and regular social events that have helped to sustain the close relationships many have cherished since the first grade; the class spirit she has fostered is the envy of others, who have been known to feign affiliation with the Class of 1959 to participate in its activities; and WHEREAS, A kind and caring woman, this Marble Falls native is beloved for her many acts of generosity, whether providing someone in need with a ride to the doctor, a genial visit, or the gift of delicious treats to brighten their day; her consideration has brought happiness and comfort to countless friends and neighbors; and WHEREAS, Madolyn Frasier's latest achievement is organizing the 50th reunion of the storied Class of 1959, taking place on April 18, 2009, and this momentous occasion provides a fitting opportunity to recognize her outstanding service to her schoolmates and her myriad efforts in behalf of her fellow residents of Marble Falls; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby commend Madolyn Frasier for her outstanding service to the Marble Falls High School Class of 1959 and to her community and that she be extended sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Ms. Frasier as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
