| 6 | 6 | | citizens of Brownsville in mourning the loss of Socorro Amieva |

| 7 | 7 | | Gonzlez, who died recently at the age of 82; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Tampico, Mexico, Socorro Amieva Gonzlez |

| 9 | 9 | | was a beloved and respected member of her community; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Gonzlez was an exemplary citizen who was |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | admired for her many accomplishments; she enriched all who knew |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | her with her kindness and her enthusiasm for living each day to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the fullest; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and endless |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | compassion, Mrs. Gonzlez gave generously to others, and her |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | wisdom, warmth, and gracious spirit will not be forgotten by |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | those who knew her; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Gonzlez was a devoted wife, mother, and |

| 19 | 19 | | grandmother, and her family and many friends will long cherish |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the memories of her life and her many achievements; now, |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |

| 25 | 25 | | years, Vctor M. Gonzlez, Sr.; her son and daughter-in-law, |

| 26 | 26 | | Chester and Janet Gonzlez; her daughters and sons-in-law, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Yolanda Gonzlez-Fuentes and her husband, Alejandro, and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Patricia Gonzlez-Portillo and her husband, Ral; her sisters, |
