SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 61
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Judy Womack for her many contributions and years of
loyal service to the City of Mesquite; and
WHEREAS, Judy began her career with the City of Mesquite in
1984 as a Secretary II in the Engineering Division; over the
years, her responsibilities increased as she exhibited her
administrative and managerial talent and expertise, and she
served as Administrative Secretary, Assisting City Secretary,
and City Secretary; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Judy has been noted for her
superior skills and professionalism; during her six years as City
Secretary, she coordinated elections, student government days,
and boards and commissions banquets and attended 144 city council
meetings in her official capacity; and
WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Judy has handled her
many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and
dedication, and she has ensured that the public had access to
information through the city's web site; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, Judy is respected
and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at Mesquite City
Hall will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby commend Judy Womack on her exceptional
service to the City of Mesquite and extend to her best wishes in
all her future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
