SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 627
In Memory
of
Gladys T. Lewis
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Gladys T. Lewis, who died March 25,
2009; and
WHEREAS, She was a beloved and respected member of her
community and worked diligently for the causes she believed in;
and
WHEREAS, Gladys Lewis enriched the lives of all who knew
her with her love and compassion, her warmth and kindness, and
her enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and
WHEREAS, While she will be greatly missed by her family and
many friends, she leaves behind memories that will long be
cherished in the hearts of those she left behind; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Gladys T. Lewis
and extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Gladys T. Lewis.
