| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Public Service Recognition Week honors public |

| 7 | 7 | | government; the American Society for Public Administration is an |

| 8 | 8 | | organization that promotes professional development for public |

| 9 | 9 | | administrators, educators, and students; and |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The CenTex chapter of the American Society for |

| 11 | 11 | | Public Administration hosts an annual dinner to honor those who |

| 12 | 12 | | have made exceptional contributions in the field of public |

| 13 | 13 | | administration; this outstanding organization recognizes |

| 14 | 14 | | individuals in the categories of Public Administrator of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Year, Emerging Public Administrator of the Year, Elected |

| 16 | 16 | | Official of the Year, Public Administrator Educator of the Year, |

| 17 | 17 | | and research in the field of public administration; now, |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
