SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 703
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Fran Grillo of Brooklyn, New York, for her outstanding
service to the men and women of our armed forces; and
WHEREAS, Fran and her family have supported the men and
women serving overseas in a variety of ways through the years;
they have written letters and sent care packages to them on
holidays and birthdays to ensure that no soldier goes without
contact from home; and
WHEREAS, Fran opened her home to soldiers on leave,
offering a place to stay and tours of New York City highlights;
she showed exceptional kindness to the soldiers of Bravo Company,
615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st
Cavalry Division, under the direction of Sergeant First Class
Emilio A. Perales; and
WHEREAS, The support of citizens like Fran Grillo
exemplifies the spirit of patriotism that infuses our nation in
times of war and peace alike; she is truly deserving of
recognition for her devotion and generosity; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby commend Fran Grillo on her invaluable
contributions to the men and women of our armed services and
extend to her best wishes for success in all her endeavors; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
