| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize E. A. Tanner, who is retiring after more than 30 years |

| 4 | 4 | | of exemplary service with the McAllen Independent School |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | District; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Tanner began his |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | service with the district at Lamar Middle School; in 1990, he |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | moved to Rowe High School, where he is currently choir director; |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Tanner has been noted |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | for his ability to obtain outstanding performances from his |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | students; they consider him a father figure who has high |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | expectations of them and achieves outstanding results; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Mr. Tanner has handled |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | his many responsibilities with exceptional dedication and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | creativity; his many students throughout the years have used the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | skills and knowledge he imparted in their later schooling and in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | their daily lives; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary educator and musician, Mr. Tanner is |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | respected and admired by his colleagues and students alike, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | his presence as choir director at Rowe High School will be |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend E. A. Tanner on his exceptional |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | service as choir director at Rowe High School and extend to him |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | best wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors; |
