| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 2152, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended by adding Section 2152.003 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 2152.003. GIFTS, GRANTS, AND DONATIONS. The |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | commission may solicit, contract for, receive, accept, or |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | administer gifts, grants, and donations of money or property from |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | any source for any lawful public purpose related to the commission. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
