99 AN ACT
1010 relating to the issuance of an identification card to certain
1111 individuals to permit entrance into certain county buildings
1212 without passing through security services.
1313 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1414 SECTION 1. Section 291.010(a), Local Government Code, is
1515 amended to read as follows:
1616 (a) The commissioners court of a county [with a population
1717 of 2.8 million or more] by order may:
1818 (1) authorize the issuance of an identification card
1919 to individuals permitting entrance into a county building that
2020 houses a justice court, county court, county court at law, or
2121 district court without passing through the security services
2222 provided under Article 102.017, Code of Criminal Procedure; and
2323 (2) set a reasonable fee for the issuance of the
2424 identification card to individuals other than county employees.
2525 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
