The bill would amend Section 42.041, Human Resources Code, relating to required licenses for child-care facilities and child placing agencies. The bill would permit certain child-care facilities to provide care for each child for a maximum of 15 hours per week without obtaining a license if certain conditions are met. The Department of Family and Protective Services indicates the agency could implement the bill within existing resources.
