                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 2, 2011      TO: Honorable Bill Callegari, Chair, House Committee on Government Efficiency & Reform      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3149 by Torres (Relating to pilot programs to implement a management methodology for the improvement of operations and reduction of costs for certain state agencies.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to pilot programs to implement a management methodology for the improvement of operations and reduction of costs for certain state agencies.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
