99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subsection (a), Section 243.0075, Local
1111 Government Code, is amended to read as follows:
1212 (a) An applicant for a license or permit issued under
1313 Section 243.007 for a location not currently [previously] licensed
1414 or permitted shall, not later than the 60th day before the date the
1515 application is filed, prominently post an outdoor sign at the
1616 location stating that a sexually oriented business is intended to
1717 be located on the premises and providing the name and business
1818 address of the applicant.
1919 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
2020 to an application for a license or permit filed on or after
2121 September 1, 2011.
2222 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2323 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2424 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2525 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2626 Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
