14 | 14 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
15 | 15 | SECTION 1. Section 143.120, Local Government Code, is | |
16 | 16 | amended by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: | |
17 | 17 | (c-1) A temporary suspension of a fire fighter under | |
18 | 18 | Subsection (c)(2) may not exceed 90 calendar days. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | |
