11 | 11 | appointment of certain municipal officers. | |
12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Chapter 150, Local Government Code, is amended | |
14 | 14 | by adding Subchapter C to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | SUBCHAPTER C. MUNICIPAL REPORTS | |
16 | 16 | Sec. 150.051. REPORT TO TEXAS JUDICIAL COUNCIL. The | |
17 | 17 | officer or employee responsible for maintaining the records of the | |
18 | 18 | governing body of a municipality shall notify the Texas Judicial | |
19 | 19 | Council of the name of each person who is elected or appointed as | |
20 | 20 | presiding officer of the municipality, municipal court judge, or | |
21 | 21 | clerk of a municipal court of the municipality. The officer or | |
22 | 22 | employee shall notify the judicial council not later than the 30th | |
23 | 23 | day after the date of the person's election or appointment. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | |
