| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 660.004, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (d) Funds appropriated for Prairie View A&M University may | |
| 14 | 14 | be used to pay for costs associated with the university's Academy | |
| 15 | 15 | for Collegiate Excellence and Student Success program and Research | |
| 16 | 16 | Apprentice Program and the Prairie View A&M Undergraduate Medical | |
| 17 | 17 | Academy, including participant and employee travel expenses and | |
| 18 | 18 | related expenses. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
