| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, In House Concurrent Resolution No. 36, Acts of the |

| 10 | 10 | | 79th Legislature, Regular Session, 2005, the Texas Legislature |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | authorized the State Preservation Board to approve the construction |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of a monument on the Capitol grounds recognizing Texans who served |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in the Vietnam War; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Although the monument has yet to be installed, the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | legislature supports continued authorization for its construction |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and for its placement at the location approved by the State |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Preservation Board; now, therefore, be it |

| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas |

| 19 | 19 | | hereby express continued support for the construction of a monument |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | on the Capitol grounds, at the location approved by the State |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Preservation Board, recognizing Texans who served in the Vietnam |
