88 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
99 WHEREAS, In House Concurrent Resolution No. 36, Acts of the
1010 79th Legislature, Regular Session, 2005, the Texas Legislature
1111 authorized the State Preservation Board to approve the construction
1212 of a monument on the Capitol grounds recognizing Texans who served
1313 in the Vietnam War; and
1414 WHEREAS, Although the monument has yet to be installed, the
1515 legislature supports continued authorization for its construction
1616 and for its placement at the location approved by the State
1717 Preservation Board; now, therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas
1919 hereby express continued support for the construction of a monument
2020 on the Capitol grounds, at the location approved by the State
2121 Preservation Board, recognizing Texans who served in the Vietnam
2222 War; and, be it further
2323 RESOLVED, That the Texas secretary of state forward an
2424 official copy of this resolution to the executive director and
2525 members of the State Preservation Board.
