12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 252, Transportation Code, | |
14 | 14 | is amended by adding Section 252.314 to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | Sec. 252.314. DONATIONS. A commissioners court may accept | |
16 | 16 | donations of labor, money, or other property to aid in the building | |
17 | 17 | or maintaining of roads in the county. | |
18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | |
