Kolkhorst, Chair, House Committee On Public Health      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1392 by King, Susan (Relating to information provided by the Department of State Health Services on food regulation.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 438 of the Health and Safety Code by adding Subsection H, related to information provided by the Department of State Health Services on food regulation. The bill would apply only to requests for information made on or after January 1, 2014. The Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of State Health Services indicate that any administrative cost associated with implementing the bill would be absorbed using current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
