99 AN ACT
1010 relating to the reporting in a lobbyist registration of certain
1111 persons from whom compensation or reimbursement is received.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Section 305.005, Government Code, is amended by
1414 adding Subsection (m) to read as follows:
1515 (m) The registration form must include the full name and
1616 address of each person who compensates or reimburses the registrant
1717 or person acting as an agent for the registrant for services,
1818 including political consulting services, rendered by the
1919 registrant from:
2020 (1) a political contribution as defined by Title 15,
2121 Election Code;
2222 (2) interest received from a political contribution as
2323 defined by Title 15, Election Code; or
2424 (3) an asset purchased with a political contribution
2525 as defined by Title 15, Election Code.
2626 SECTION 2. Section 305.005(m), Government Code, as added by
2727 this Act, applies only to compensation or reimbursement received by
2828 a registrant under Chapter 305, Government Code, on or after the
2929 effective date of this Act.
3030 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
