99 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1010 AN ACT
1111 relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for surviving
1212 spouses of disabled veterans of the United States armed forces;
1313 authorizing a fee.
1414 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1515 SECTION 1. Section 504.317, Transportation Code, as added
1616 by Chapters 845 (H.B. 3580) and 1296 (H.B. 2357), Acts of the 82nd
1717 Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, is amended by adding
1818 Subsections (c) and (d) to read as follows:
1919 (c) A person entitled to specialty license plates under this
2020 section may register, for the person's own use, one vehicle without
2121 payment of any fee other than the fee for the license plates under
2222 Subsection (d).
2323 (d) The fee for the first set of license plates is $3. There
2424 is no fee for each additional set of license plates.
2525 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
