A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to staff and support personnel appointed by certain
judges.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 74.103, Government Code, is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 74.103. STAFF. (a) The courts may appoint appropriate
staff and support personnel according to the needs in each county.
(b) Staff and support personnel appointed under this
section serve at the pleasure of the judge who appointed the staff
or personnel.
SECTION 2. Section 74.104(a), Government Code, is amended
to read as follows:
(a) The judges shall determine reasonable compensation for
the court coordinators, staff, and support personnel, subject to
approval of the commissioners court.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
