The bill would provide that social security numbers (SSNs) of school district employees are confidential. The bill would require a school district board of trustees to adopt a policy prohibiting the use of an employee's SSN as an employee identifier for any purpose other than tax purposes.  Local Government Impact Administrative costs would vary depending on whether districts were using employee SSNs for any purposes other than for taxes. These costs could vary widely.
