99 AN ACT
1010 relating to availability of certain benefits under individual
1111 accident and health insurance policies.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Section 1201.227, Insurance Code, is repealed.
1414 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
1515 to an individual accident and health insurance policy that is
1616 delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1,
1717 2014. An individual accident and health insurance policy that is
1818 delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed before January 1, 2014,
1919 is governed by the law as it existed immediately before the
2020 effective date of this Act, and that law is continued in effect for
2121 that purpose.
2222 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
