12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 1201.227, Insurance Code, is repealed. | |
14 | 14 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
15 | 15 | to an individual accident and health insurance policy that is | |
16 | 16 | delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1, | |
17 | 17 | 2014. An individual accident and health insurance policy that is | |
18 | 18 | delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed before January 1, 2014, | |
19 | 19 | is governed by the law as it existed immediately before the | |
20 | 20 | effective date of this Act, and that law is continued in effect for | |
21 | 21 | that purpose. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | |
