99 AN ACT
1010 relating to the Upshur County Juvenile Board.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Sections 152.2361(a) and (b), Human Resources
1313 Code, are amended to read as follows:
1414 (a) The Upshur County Juvenile Board is composed of the
1515 county judge and[,] the district judge [judges] in Upshur County[,
1616 and the judges of any statutory court in the county designated as a
1717 juvenile court].
1818 (b) The county judge of Upshur County is the chairman of the
1919 board and its chief administrative officer [juvenile board shall
2020 elect one of its members as chairman at its first regular meeting of
2121 each calendar year].
2222 SECTION 2. Sections 152.2361(c), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i),
2323 (j), (k), and (m), Human Resources Code, are repealed.
2424 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2525 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2626 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2727 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2828 Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
