A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the Upshur County Juvenile Board. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Sections 152.2361(a) and (b), Human Resources Code, are amended to read as follows: (a) The Upshur County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge and[,] the district judge [judges] in Upshur County[, and the judges of any statutory court in the county designated as a juvenile court]. (b) The county judge of Upshur County is the chairman of the board and its chief administrative officer [juvenile board shall elect one of its members as chairman at its first regular meeting of each calendar year]. SECTION 2. Sections 152.2361(c), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), and (m), Human Resources Code, are repealed. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013. * * * * *
