The bill would repeal Section 418.114 of the Government Code related to requiring certain political subdivisions to agree on procedures that specify the manner in which mutual aid will be provided. The bill would amend the Government Code to remove the time requirement for a request for mutual aid to be submitted in writing. The bill would also require cost reimbursements to all respondents to requests for mutual aid in cases where the duration of the assistance exceeds 12 consecutive hours. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
