| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, | |
| 14 | 14 | is amended by adding Section 504.663 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | Sec. 504.663. FOUNDATION SCHOOL PROGRAM LICENSE PLATES. | |
| 16 | 16 | (a) The department shall issue specially designed license plates | |
| 17 | 17 | to benefit the Foundation School Program. The department shall | |
| 18 | 18 | design the license plates in consultation with the Texas Education | |
| 19 | 19 | Agency. | |
| 20 | 20 | (b) After deduction of the department's administrative | |
| 21 | 21 | costs, the department shall deposit the remainder of the fee for | |
| 22 | 22 | issuance of license plates under this section to the credit of the | |
| 23 | 23 | foundation school fund. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | |
