| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 14 | 14 | is amended by adding Section 225.091 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | Sec. 225.091. CAPTAIN JOHN YOUNG FLYOVER. (a) The highway | |
| 16 | 16 | known as the NASA Road 1 Bypass in the city of Webster connecting | |
| 17 | 17 | State Highway NASA Road 1 to Interstate Highway 45 south of the | |
| 18 | 18 | intersection of those two highways is designated as the Captain | |
| 19 | 19 | John Young Flyover. The designation is in addition to any other | |
| 20 | 20 | designation. | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 22 | 22 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 23 | 23 | designation as the Captain John Young Flyover and any other | |
| 24 | 24 | appropriate information; and | |
| 25 | 25 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 26 | 26 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
