The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the eligibility requirements for a residential fire alarm training school instructor. The bill would require that training school instructors be approved by the state fire marshal and hold a fire alarm planning superintendent license, a residential fire alarm superintendent license, or a fire alarm technician license. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that any duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
