H.R. No. 569
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Charles and Hoycille Valentine of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Charles Valentine and the former Hoycille
Montgomery exchanged the vows of matrimony in Kermit on that
memorable day in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they
have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Valentine count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two daughters and their husbands, Sharli
and Nathan Crawford and Shyll and Edward Boulen, as well as six
grandchildren and a great-grandchild, with whom they treasure
sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Charles and
Hoycille Valentine can savor a wealth of cherished family memories
and know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Hoycille Valentine on
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Valentine as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
