77 relating to the confidentiality of information in ad valorem tax
88 appraisal records that identifies the home address of certain
99 judges.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Subdivision (2), Subsection (a-1), Section
1212 25.025, Tax Code, is amended to read as follows:
1313 (2) "State judge" means:
1414 (A) a judge, former judge, or retired judge of an
1515 appellate court, a district court, a statutory probate court, a
1616 constitutional county court, or a county court at law of this state;
1717 (B) an associate judge appointed under Chapter
1818 201, Family Code, or Chapter 54A, Government Code, or a retired
1919 associate judge or former associate judge appointed under either
2020 law [that chapter]; [or]
2121 (C) a justice of the peace;
2222 (D) a master, magistrate, referee, hearing
2323 officer, or associate judge appointed under Chapter 54, Government
2424 Code; or
2525 (E) a municipal court judge.
2626 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2727 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2828 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2929 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3030 Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
