99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subsections (f) and (j), Section 1, Chapter 356
1111 (H.B. 1232), Acts of the 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009,
1212 are amended to read as follows:
1313 (f) Not later than December 1 of each even-numbered year[,
1414 2012], the local mental health authority involved in the pilot
1515 project shall submit a report to the department regarding the local
1616 behavioral health intervention pilot project, including:
1717 (1) a comprehensive analysis of the efficacy of the
1818 project; and
1919 (2) the local authority's findings and
2020 recommendations.
2121 (j) This Act expires September 1, 2023 [2013].
2222 SECTION 2. (a) It is the intent of the legislature that
2323 amendments to Chapter 356 (H.B. 1232), Acts of the 81st
2424 Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, made by this Act and any other
2525 amendments to that chapter made by another Act of the 83rd
2626 Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, shall be harmonized, if
2727 possible, as provided by Subsection (b), Section 311.025,
2828 Government Code, so that effect may be given to each amendment.
2929 (b) If an amendment to Chapter 356 (H.B. 1232), Acts of the
3030 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, made by this Act and an
3131 amendment to that chapter made by another Act of the 83rd
3232 Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, are irreconcilable, it is the
3333 intent of the legislature that the amendment to Chapter 356 (H.B.
3434 1232), Acts of the 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, made by
3535 this Act prevail, regardless of the relative effective dates or
3636 dates of enactment of the irreconcilable amendments.
3737 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
3838 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3939 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
4040 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
4141 Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the
4242 legislative session.
