The bill would amend the Election Code to require the Secretary of State to identify certain information when making a determination that a voter is deceased. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house; if not, it will take effect on September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
