                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 22, 2013      TO: Honorable John Whitmire, Chair, Senate Committee on Criminal Justice      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB670 by Whitmire (Relating to the copying of certain records and files relating to a child who is a party to a juvenile proceeding.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code to specify that certain court, probation, and prosecutorial records and files available for inspection are also available for copying. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house, otherwise September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
