| 11 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 13 | 10 | | is amended by adding Section 225.103 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 11 | | Sec. 225.103. U.S. ARMY SERGEANT ENRIQUE MONDRAGON MEMORIAL |
|---|
| 15 | 12 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of Farm-to-Market Road 423 in Denton |
|---|
| 16 | 13 | | County between its intersection with U.S. Highway 380 and State |
|---|
| 17 | 14 | | Highway 121 is designated as the U.S. Army Sergeant Enrique |
|---|
| 18 | 15 | | Mondragon Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any |
|---|
| 19 | 16 | | other designation. |
|---|
| 20 | 17 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 21 | 18 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 22 | 19 | | designation as the U.S. Army Sergeant Enrique Mondragon Memorial |
|---|
| 23 | 20 | | Highway and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 24 | 21 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 25 | 22 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 26 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 27 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 28 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 29 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 30 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
