115 relating to the authority with whom certain political committees
126 must file reports of political contributions and expenditures.
137 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
148 SECTION 1. Section 254.130, Election Code, is amended to
159 read as follows:
1610 Sec. 254.130. AUTHORITY WITH WHOM REPORTS FILED. (a)
1711 Except as provided by Subsection (b), reports [Reports] filed under
1812 this subchapter shall be filed with the authority with whom the
1913 political committee's campaign treasurer appointment is required
2014 to be filed.
2115 (b) A specific-purpose committee created to support or
2216 oppose a measure on the issuance of bonds by a school district shall
2317 file reports under this subchapter with the commission.
2418 SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a report of political
2519 contributions or expenditures due on or after the effective date of
2620 this Act. A report of political contributions or expenditures due
2721 before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law in
2822 effect on the date the report is due, and the former law is
2923 continued in effect for that purpose.
3024 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
