66 AN ACT
77 relating to a fee waiver for a combination resident hunting and
88 fishing license for certain military personnel.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 50.002, Parks and Wildlife Code, is
1111 amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
1212 (c) The commission shall waive the fee for a combination
1313 resident hunting and fishing license for a qualified disabled
1414 veteran as defined by Section 42.012 or a resident who holds a valid
1515 military identification card and is on active duty in the United
1616 States military forces or is actively participating in the Texas
1717 Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, or the Texas
1818 State Guard under the rules established by the adjutant general of
1919 the state military forces. For the purposes of this section, a
2020 valid military identification card issued by the Texas Army
2121 National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, or the Texas State
2222 Guard is sufficient to establish residency in this state. This
2323 subsection does not apply to a person who is retired from the
2424 military or the dependent of military personnel unless the person
2525 otherwise qualifies as provided by this subsection.
2626 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2727 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2828 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2929 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3030 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
