104 AN ACT
115 relating to the purchase of food and beverages by the Texas Division
126 of Emergency Management for certain division personnel.
137 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
148 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 418, Government Code, is
159 amended by adding Section 418.052 to read as follows:
1610 Sec. 418.052. USE OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT CERTAIN DIVISION
1711 PERSONNEL. The division may use appropriated funds to purchase
1812 food and beverages for division personnel who are:
1913 (1) activated to provide services in response to a
2014 disaster; and
2115 (2) unable to leave or required to remain at their
2216 assignment areas due to the disaster.
2317 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2418 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2519 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2620 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2721 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
