| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter Y, Chapter 201, Transportation Code, | |
| 12 | 12 | is amended by adding Section 201.2003 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 201.2003. LEODORO MARTINEZ JR. REST AREAS. (a) The | |
| 14 | 14 | northbound and southbound rest areas located on Interstate Highway | |
| 15 | 15 | 35 in La Salle County are designated as the Leodoro Martinez Jr. | |
| 16 | 16 | Rest Areas. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) The department shall design and construct markers at | |
| 18 | 18 | each rest area described by Subsection (a) indicating the | |
| 19 | 19 | designation of those rest areas as the Leodoro Martinez Jr. Rest | |
| 20 | 20 | Areas and any other appropriate information. | |
| 21 | 21 | (c) The department shall erect markers at appropriate | |
| 22 | 22 | locations at the rest areas. | |
| 23 | 23 | (d) Notwithstanding Subsections (b) and (c), the department | |
| 24 | 24 | is not required to design, construct, or erect a marker under this | |
| 25 | 25 | section unless a grant or donation of private funds is made to the | |
| 26 | 26 | department to cover the cost of the design, construction, and | |
| 27 | 27 | erection of the marker. | |
| 28 | 28 | (e) Money received under Subsection (d) shall be deposited | |
| 29 | 29 | to the credit of the state highway fund. | |
| 30 | 30 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
